[ This is the Story of BEIJO ]
BEIJO. Group began as an inspirational message and vision received in a dream back in 2017, while contemplating the nature of what it means to be truly relational to our innerselves, and thus expressed outwardly as constructively, and cohesively connected with other individuals, living beings, and thus, Life Itself.
When describing BEIJO.'s origins to workshop attendees, founder, Alexis has stated, "When I look back at my life, for the purpose of discerning how I wanted to design it going forward, what I realized, is this:
The times in which I have been the happiest in Life, are those times when my Heart was OPEN - and this simply means, that I was open to BEING Purely Loving, and to Being LOVED Purely.
It was only with absolute Presence of Being, that I became truly available to Loving the Living- Loving My Life, Loving My Loved Ones, Loving Each Moment of the Gift that Is Life Itself- and Abundance of Blessings in Each and Every Moment, once they are Realized. And this, is a matter of Perspective.

Perspective is variable and changeable. A little bird falls from the nest in the same moment, it learns what it means to have wings. In this way, it discovers its freedom to truly explore its innate essence. What may once have seemed to be an obstacle, can suddenly present a new opportunity.

Self Discovery often invites us to let go of limiting beliefs, and this process is greatly enhanced by new life experiences. Our services, curriculum, and boutique are designed and coordinated purposefully to both nurture and facilitate the discovery of Inner & Inter-Connectedness for our clients, while community building, worldwide. Creativity, workshopping, and travel offer many multi-faceted, and multi-layered opportunities to facilitate inward journeys that lead to the empowerment of the individual seeker; this often has direct positively constructive outcomes for community, as well. Alexis Bergan-Guzman, DC, MAMS, BFA, LMT​, YTT

Through her work and testimony of her life, Alexis hopes to empower others in the pursuit of their own wellness and to contribute to the establishment of a world where we are no longer victims to our own devices. Her dynamic approach to career reflects her awareness that as whole persons, we are able to call upon multiple talents and resources within ourselves in order to create a comprehensive and rich life experience and to contribute to the betterment of humankind.

Alexis has traveled around the world and enjoyed opportunities to breathe in life, to observe, and to interact in a thoughtful, intuitive, and connected way. She holds the vision and intention to contribute to the evolution of human consciousness and brings a spiritual approach to her work. Alexis has particular interests in empowering individuals to facilitate the achievement of enriched quality of life and expanded self awareness; elevating health literacy and advocacy,, building life-long connections with individuals for the purpose of community building at the interpersonal, family, and community levels, locally, and globally.​

In addition to her Mission at BEIJO. Group, Alexis is in private practice as a chiropractic physician and licensed massage therapist, where she offers comprehensive bodywork services, based on a blend of Evidence Based Practice Methods, including chiropractic medicine and massage therapy, as well as the wisdom of Ancient Healing modalities, such as energy medicine and shamanic bodywork.

Alexis has a diverse and dynamic academic background and holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Associated Medical Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and post graduate studies in pre-medical sciences at Northwestern University. Additionally, she completed training in massage therapy and holistic bodywork at Educating Hands School of Massage in Miami. Dr Alexis is a licensed massage therapist in the states of Illinois and Florida. Dr Alexis is also a certified yoga instructor.​

Alexis celebrated her graduation from medical school by serving members of the Muscular Dystrophy community by serving as as a charity runner for Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy’s Run For Our Sons group in the 2010 Walt Disney World Marathon. Having completed several other athletic events, including half-marathons and triathlons, Alexis also has an avid love for other recreational sports, especially those which include whole body movements and emphasize kinesthetic awareness through movement and functional anatomy including Pilates, yoga, and swimming.

Additionally, Dr Alexis is an active creative artist and writer; she has multiple publications and has exhibited in local, national, as well as international events.
