BEIJO. Group's Favorite Socks for Walking the Camino Santiago:
Darn Tough Socks
Darn Tough Socks are my favorite "Go-To" socks to pair with my hiking shoes. I choose crew length to protect my ankle area from any potential friction that could arise from a lower profile sock, such as the Feetures running socks, listed below. Plan to have 2-3 pairs of dry socks available per day of hiking. I recommend taking at least 8-10 pairs of socks for a week long trek upon the Caminho. Feetures Socks with Max Cushion
Feetures socks have been a long time favorite for me for both running and walking. For Camino purposes, I like using them when using my alternate shoes. I have found that my feet enjoy a break from the hiking shoes, sometimes, especially, after settling in to town at the end of a long trekking day, when there is leisurely time to explore and enjoy the towns we will stay in along the Camino. These breathable, form fitting socks consist of 73% Polyester, 23% Nylon, and 4% Spandex, are engineered with arch supporting compression, and designed to reduce potential for blister formation.
